Penn State Safe & Aware

Chapter 3

Dating and Domestic Violence Resources

Visit the Relationship & Sexual Violence Resources to become familiar with medical, counseling, advocacy, and support resources that are available on your campus and in the surrounding community. Many of the University Park resources are available remotely to all Penn State students.

Most Penn State campuses offer health services and counseling, so if you're unsure where to get help, you can always talk with someone on your campus. You can also talk with someone from a crisis center in your community, or seek assistance from campus police or local law enforcement.

Penn State Resources

Penn State's Office of Sexual Misconduct Reporting and Response (Title IX) provides confidential resources for students who want to talk with someone after experiencing sexual harassment, stalking, relationship violence, or sexual violence. For information about confidential services at your campus, visit titleix.psu.edu/get-help.

Penn State’s Gender Equity Center (GenEq) supports students who have been impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, harassment, and other campus climate issues. GenEq staff provide education, advocacy, referrals, and crisis intervention/support counseling. All services are free and confidential.

Penn State’s Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (CSGD) provides support and advocacy for sexual and gender diverse individuals including those impacted by sexual violence, stalking, relationship violence, harassment, and other campus climate issues. The CSGD is a confidential source for reporting on sexual and dating violence.
